How to Create/Edit Article Categories to Organize Your Articles

Creating/Editing Article Categories

  1. Article categories help you organize your articles inside of your Knowledge Base
  2. To add a Category:
    1. When logged into stauntonstays.com, navigate to Knowledge Base > Categories
    2. Add a Name (ex. Guest Messaging)
    3. Add a Slug – there’s a note that this is the URL-friendly version of the name. It’s usually all lowercase and contains only letters, numbers, and hyphens (ex. guest-messaging)
    4. Add a Description (ex. This category is for articles describing how to use our different guest management platforms and how to communicate with guests)
    5. Choose a Category Icon
      1. Pick an icon that you think goes well with the category!
    6. When finished, click Add New Category at the bottom of the page
  3. To edit a Category:
    1. Hover over the Category on the right side of the page – click Edit
    2. Edit any of the information on this page

When finished, click Update at the bottom of the page
